Meet our team

Cadence Ko is a founder of Heart in Hand and serves as Executive Director. Her interest in healthcare and entrepreneurship was sparked by a neuroscience summer program at USC, which inspired her to help create an initiative focused on patient support and youth education. As Executive Director, Cadence is responsible for overseeing the project's overall operations, coordinating partnerships with healthcare facilities, guiding program development, and ensuring that all initiatives align closely with Heart in Hand's mission and long-term goals.

A senior at Westridge School for Girls, Cadence balances her leadership at Heart in Hand with her work as a math tutor and active equestrian. She is passionate about healthcare and intends to study pre-med in college.

Anya Klaeb is a founder of Heart in Hand and serves as Director of Education and Outreach. With a strong interest in healthcare and psychology, she helped establish the initiative with an emphasis on expanding access to health education and patient-centered resources. In her role, Anya leads the development of educational content and oversees outreach efforts, including building our social media presence and maintaining partnerships with schools and hospitals.

A senior at Westridge School for Girls, Anya is a longtime pianist, a role she credits for her discipline and attention to detail. She is passionate about psychology and intends to study pre-med in college.

Aceley Pan is a founder of Heart in Hand and serves as Director of Operations. Motivated by her experience supporting a family member through lymphoma, she helped kickstart the project by focusing on providing comfort and practical support to patients and their families. As Director of Operations, Aceley manages the organizational logistics, oversees the execution of programs, coordinates care kit assembly and delivery, and supports the implementation of educational initiatives.

A senior at Westridge School for Girls, Aceley is interested in the foundations of disease and intends to pursue a future career in hematology or pathology.
